School Year Abroad - Italy

TAYLOR WINS SCHOLARSHIP; WILL ATTEND SCHOOL IN ITALY
A BIG congratulations to Taylor Locks, an outstanding sophomore in Latin III, who has won a $38,000 scholarship which will enable her to spend the 2008-2009 school year studying in Viterbo, Italy! Viterbo is a picturesque hill-top city located a third the way between Rome and Florence. As a student in the School Year Abroad (SYA) program, she will study Latin literature, Italian language and civilization, ancient history, and art history IN SITU. She will also round out her studies with English literature and advanced mathematics, all the while living with a host Italian family. She will be unmatched as an ambassador from Riverbend, Virginia, and the United States. Way to go, Taylor! (March 2008)

Take a look at the article in The Free Lance-Star about Taylor Locks and her upcoming school year in Italy! [7/8/08]
